About Me

Cherylann Blay-Marquez
Twelve years ago, while writing poetry in Amsterdam, I started on my journey to become a body worker. There I met and studied, for four years, with Reiki Master, Alida Bos, to become Reiki I and II certified. Inspired by a longing for the sunshine and to help my Golden Retriever, Dakota, (who had hip -dysplasia, yet still managed to enjoy his world travels) I moved back home to Florida. I intended to stay for a year and half to attend human massage school. While a student at Central Florida School of Massage Therapy by night, I worked days as the Hydro-therapist at Hip Dog Canine Hydrotherapy in Orlando,FL. During that year-and –a-half in school, I compared and contrasted the anatomy of canines and humans nearly every day. After graduation I continued at HipDog. Working intuitively over the course of four years, I developed a comprehensive canine rehabilitation regimen based on human massage modalities including cranio sacral therapy to help dogs that seizure. That original year-and-a-half has turned into almost seven years and I have expanded my offering of therapy to include both dry land and hydrotherapy. Puppy Love Therapy has grown to include dogs in all stages and walks of life; I have worked with domestic puppies born with neurological disabilities at a wolf rescue and have had the honor of holding my own best friend and travelling partner, Dakota (a few weeks shy of 14), as he took his last breath and ascended. Dakota did not leave this earth until he taught me just how much we can help one another. Puppy Love Therapy is about that One Love
